House cleaning price calculator
Put in the home and the type of cleaning, and get a flat price. It uses the same formula Busy Book uses to price every booking.
How flat-rate pricing works
You guys, a flat rate means the client knows the price before anybody shows up, okay? No clock, no "it took longer than we thought." Your partner cleaners know what they'll earn, and you know the business keeps its share.
The formula is simple: a base price for showing up and the basics, plus a price for each bedroom and each bathroom, plus the square feet times a rate for that type of cleaning. A deep clean or a move-out uses a higher square-foot rate, because there's more work in every room. Then repeat clients get a discount, because a weekly or biweekly client fills your calendar and is easier to schedule, right?
How to pick your own rates
The rates above are examples, not your market. Before you set yours, look at what real local companies charge. The free market report pulls the Census numbers for your city and compares local cleaning companies, so you're not guessing. Then price so you can pay your partners well, because pricing too low is the fastest way to lose your best cleaners.

Questions
How much should I charge to clean a 3 bedroom house?
It depends on your market, the size of the home and the type of cleaning. With the example rates on this page, a standard cleaning of a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1,800 square foot home comes to $280. Run a free market report for your city to see what local companies charge, then set your own rates.
Should I charge by the hour or a flat rate?
A flat rate. The client knows the price before you show up, your partner cleaners know what they'll earn, and nobody watches the clock. Busy Book prices every cleaning this way.
How do I price a deep cleaning or a move-out cleaning?
Keep the same base, bedroom and bathroom prices, and use a higher square-foot rate for deep and move in or out cleanings, because they take more work in every room.
Should I give a discount for weekly or biweekly cleanings?
Most owners do, because repeat clients fill your calendar and are easier to schedule. Weekly usually gets the biggest discount, then biweekly, then monthly.
