Connect Square or Stripe and clients save a card when they book. Nothing is charged that day. The booking is held until the card is saved, and only then does it go out to your partners. PayPal works too: PayPal clients pay from their invoice.

  1. 1

    Open Payments

In the menu, tap Settings, then Payments.

  2. 2

    Connect Square or Stripe

Tap Connect Square or Connect Stripe, then tap Connect Now on the next page.

  3. 3

    Paste in your account details

For Square, paste your Access Token, Application ID and Location ID from your Square Developer dashboard: open your app, then Credentials for the first two and Locations for the third, all on the Production side. For Stripe, paste your Secret Key and Publishable Key from Developers, then API keys. Keep these private and only paste them here. Then tap Save Credentials.

  4. 4

    Make it your default

Back on Payments, tap Set as Default on the one you connected. Cards on file turn on for new bookings.

  5. 5

Pick when the card is held and charged

Under Card payments and cancellations, choose when to place a hold (1, 2 or 3 days before the cleaning) and when to charge (right after the cleaning, or 24 hours after so you can check the client is happy first).

  6. 6

    Set your cancellation rules

Set how many hours ahead a client can cancel for free, your late cancellation fee and your no-show or locked-out fee, in dollars or a percent. Clients see these rules and agree to them before they book.

  7. 7

    Save

Read the What clients see box to check it sounds right, then tap Save card payment rules.
